Life in Abundance (LIA) is serving to empower Africa’s poor in a new way. In ten countries throughout northeast Africa, LIA is mobilizing, training and equipping local churches to implement wholistic ministries focusing on the poor, orphaned and vulnerable within their very own communities.

Our Mission

LIA serves our partner churches for a fixed period of time, to build their capacity within our five focus areas (1) Orphans and Vulnerable Children (2) Primary Health Care (3) Economic Empowerment (4) HIV/AIDS (5) Community Development.

“For whoever wants to save their life will lose it, but whoever loses their life for me will save it. What good is it for someone to gain the whole world, and yet lose or forfeit their very self?” - Jesus of Nazareth (Luke 9:24-25).

The invitation that Jesus gave to his disciples nearly 2,000 years ago rings true for those of us who follow him today. Lose your life to find it. Gain the world but really gain nothing. Mi2 with LIA in Kenya is an opportunity for you to explore what these words mean from the perspective of local believers who have nothing, yet have everything. You will walk alongside modern day saints who love their communities with selfless abandon; serving to empower their neighbors in very practical ways. The only promises we make is that you will get your hands dirty, your heart broken, and your spirit awakened in ways that will determine the path for the rest of your life. Come willing to learn. Come willing to serve. Come willing to lose your life. Ironically, you may just find it, in Africa.
