Life in Abundance International (LIA) began in 2000 as a Christian health organization headquartered in Ethiopia. It has grown to serve seven African nations through partnerships with Christian churches and other organizations.

LIA helps meet the physical, economic, social, emotional and spiritual needs of a community—to transform destructive or impoverished lifestyles to Life in Abundance. Dr. Florence Muindi, M.D., M.P.H., is the founding president. Her vision remains; to bring health to the poor through the local church as a tool for evangelism.

LIA partners with churches to meet needs through community health projects, work skills training and economic development, care for street children, AIDS orphans and vulnerable children, and victims of natural disasters. The guiding vision of LIA is to help people in need find new life in Christ and in turn spread the news, share compassion and help. HIV/AIDS, illiteracy, alcoholism, immorality and witchcraft are all challenges for the churches working with LIA in Kenya. LIA also works in Ethiopia, Somalia, Djibouti, Eritrea, Sudan and Egypt.
