Mi2 About
mission internship to

The Mi2 or “Missions Internship To…”

is an opportunity provided by Southeast Christian Church, for young people, ages 20-28, to clarify their calling, through a real-life, on-the-field mission experience. You will spend three months with one of Southeast’s mission partners, learning first-hand what it means to serve in full-time global outreach. Mi2 is designed to help you understand your calling, whatever it is.

Goal/Mission Statement and Four Values

Mi2 is a real-life, on-the-field mission experience. The internship is personally designed for your talents and abilities to be used and tested in this context. The goal is the help you better understand your calling in life. Mi2 will help you determine your strengths, how they fit with your calling and how to use them best in team environments. Mi2 also further develops a Christian worldview through study of The Truth Project, a Focus on the Family resource.

(Southeast Missions Ministry)

The Missions Ministry at Southeast Christian Church has a long history of reaching out to the world. The ministry is intentional about global outreach that is not trendy, but timeless; biblical, yet relevant; and wholistic, that is, reaching communities on multiple levels rather than addressing only one need at a time. Southeast values a deeper level of involvement with fewer partners. Southeast has identified certain Global Partners as primary strategic initiatives. These are long-time partners whose ministries align with Missions goals. These Global Partners are also involved in the Mi2 internship program. In addition, Missions supports multiple Missions Friends as secondary initiatives; many church members who have obeyed God’s call for them in ministry elsewhere; and several church planting efforts in the U.S. and abroad.

The church invests 16% of all contributions in the work to multiply the Gospel message elsewhere. They offer dozens of short-term trips each year to introduce members to Global Partners and involve them in their work.

Southeast’s Missions Ministry also sponsors the Perspectives study course, for people interested in learning a biblical view of global owutreach and the Global Missions Health Conference (GMHC), for healthcare professionals and church leaders. www.medicalmissions.com

Southeast Missions Ministry oversees the Mi2 internship program in order to foster the development of missions-minded young people and to help facilitate meaningful Global Partnerships. For more information about Southeast Christian Church, please visit www.southeastchristian.org
